PLEASE CHECK COVID-19 GUIDELINES / VACCINE / RT-PCR TEST REQUIREMENT BEFORE YOU CONFIRM A BOOKING WITH US.

IN CASE YOUR TRIP BOOKING IS CANCELLED/POSTPONED/CUT SHORT OR YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO VISIT ANY PLACES OF INTEREST AS A RESULT OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS AND SOP'S, WE ARE NOT LIABLE TO REFUND ANY AMOUNT AND THE AMOUNT AS CONTRACTED FOR THE ENTIRE TRIP HAS TO BE PAID BY YOU.

POLICE PERMISSION, WHEREVER REQUIRED IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE HIRER OF THE VEHICLE. WE WOULD PROVIDE YOU WITH THE DRIVER AND VEHICLE DETAILS FOR PROCURING THE PERMISSION BY YOU.

PLEASE NOTE, MAKING AN ADVANCE PAYMENT TO OUR BANK ACCOUNT CONSTRUES THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE GENERAL GUIDELINES, TERMS AND POLICIES, CANCELLATION POLICY AS WELL AS REFUND POLICY BY YOU.

1. Hire/Booking for Vehicles: Terms and Conditions

A. Booking of any vehicle for local/Single day rental is accepted/confirmed only against an advance of 50% of the Minimum Contract amount or Rs.2500/Rs.5000, depending upon the category of vehicle, whichever is higher, or on an amount as determined by Kolkata Car Rental in the proposal mail sent to you.

B. For Tempo Traveller booking over one day/Outstation travel, an advance of 50% of the Minimum Contract amount or Rs.10000, whichever is higher is required to be paid to confirm the booking. 

C. Request for change of date/postponement of date of booking for any vehicle would NOT be entertained  AND the booking would be deemed to be cancelled and the cancellation policy would apply. 

2. Cancellation Policy for Vehicles

A. In the unlikely event of cancellation of the trip on the part of the hirer, for what so ever reason it be, including Covid 19, the amount received by way of advance will be forfeited and no refund would be granted. Request for change of date/postponement of date of booking for any vehicle would NOT be entertained  AND the booking would be deemed to be cancelled and the cancellation policy would apply

 B. In the event of reduction /increase of the number of members of the hirer, a request for a smaller/higher capacity of vehicle MAY be entertained only subject to availability. In case the requested small/big capacity vehicle is not available, there would be no refund or future adjustment for the amount received by way of advance. The amount received by way of advance would be forfeited. However, if a smaller/bigger vehicle is available, 50% of the amount received by way of advance would be forfeited and the balance 50% would be adjusted towards the rental of the smaller/bigger vehicle. 

C. Bookings for peak period dates starting from Chaturthi to Ekadashi during the Navratra/Durga Pujas, 23rd December to 7th January are non refundable and any advance received for bookings during those dates are Non Refundable ab initio.

D. To initiate a cancellation, a written intimation of Cancellation has to be sent from the same email id from which the booking was made. Verbal notification of Cancellation/postponement is not accepted.

E. If written intimation is received at least 30 days or more in advance from the date of start of service, then 30% of Expected/Minimum Total Bill amount will be charged as cancellation fees. 

F. If written intimation is received within a period of 29 days and 15 days of the date of start of service, 50% of the Expected/Minimum Total Bill will be charged as cancellation Fees. 

G. No refund is allowed if written intimation of cancellation is received within 14 days of date of start of service. 

H. If the tour gets cancelled/postponed or becomes impossible to conduct as a result of any natural calamity like COVID -19. flood,  cyclones, strikes, bandhs etc. or any other govt imposed imposition of lock down or curfew/night curfew beyond the control of India Beacons Sojourn, India beacons Sojourn will not refund any amount whether accepted by way of any advance or the full payment as the case may be. 

I. In the event of the vehicle developing any mechanical problem, providing OR arranging alternate vehicle will NOT ALWAYS be possible. In such an event, India Beacons Sojourn will refund only the VALUE OF THE UNDERUTILIZED SERVICE AND WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO PAY FOR THE ALTERNATE COST OF VEHICLE/SERVICE ARRANGED BY THE PASSENGERS THEMSELVES. 

J. India Beacons Sojourn will not be responsible for any loss arising directly or indirectly as a result of the Mechanical failure of the vehicle for any contract and would not be liable to compensate for the same. The total liability of India Beacons Sojourn will be limited to the refund of the VALUE OF THE UNDERUTILIZED SERVICE in case alternate arrangements cannot be made by India Beacons Sojourn.

3. Refund Policy

A. Refund of advance, if any will be made within one month from the date of cancellation of booking. 

B. Refund, will be paid by cheque/online transfer to the account from which the payment was received and by no other mode of transfer.

4. Jurisdiction
        A. Disputes, if any, arising will be subject to KOLKATA JURISDICTION ONLY for redress.
